Camp Sababa is a lifechanging experience. I discovered so much about my camper, people living with disabilities, the world around me and myself. Although it’s cliché, I feel like I have grown as a person, having learnt deep lessons of tolerance, patience, equality and to celebrate each individual as they are. I now appreciate how privileged a life I lead and how dedicated parents and carers of people with disabilities are every day.
Camp Sababa allows kids with disabilities four days of fun, it allows parents four days of respite and it allows young adults the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and have a truly incredible experience.
While there were many, many challenges on Camp Sababa, I will never forget every minute of my journey and feel that it has shown me what life is actually about.
