Camp Sababa Sydney was founded in 2007 in response to a growing need in the community for initiatives that catered for young people with special needs and disabilities.
Camp Sababa is founded and runs on 3 pillars:
· To run an exciting and fun-filled holiday camp for young people with disabilities within the Jewish and wider community. In this way, Camp Sababa promotes inclusivity and engagement between all members of society.
· To provide respite to families and carers of children with special needs and disabilities.
· To inspire and empower our volunteers to become disability advocates through their experience as a companion to our campers.
At Camp Sababa, we advocate for a world that emphasises inclusion for all people regardless of ability. We believe that through education and shared experiences, we can break down barriers and encourage social inclusion throughout the community.
